In recent years, the nation has been gripped by the fear that their own home is making them sick, well-known as "sick home syndrome". Because homes and businesses are being built "tighter," moisture that is trapped within the walls before, during or after construction, is contributing to the growth of toxic mold, often referred to as "black mold." This mold travels through the air and is inhaled by the occupants causing a multitude of health problems. The problem of black mold has been labeled the "next asbestos" by many experts. Lawsuits are springing up all over the country because of the severity of the problem.
To help contractors, developers and homeowners with this problem, No-Burn, Inc. developed No-Burn® Wood Gard Mih . No-Burn® Wood Gard Mih has the same fire-resistive characteristics as Wood Gard, but also exhibits characteristics that will prevent the growth of stachybotrus charatum, or black toxic mold. During the framing process, No-Burn® Wood Gard Mih is applied to all exposed raw wood, ensuring that all areas of the structure are treated. Therefore, after construction is completed, No-Burn® Wood Gard Mih is already in the wall cavities, attic space and other voids in the structure where black mold can grow. Now, structures can be protected against fire and resist mold growth with one product, one application.
